Biography

Kieron's Biog:

I love it when someone asks me what I do for a living... all I say is “Oh, a bit of this and a bit of that” and people either think I’m unemployed or, more enjoyably, that I’m a bit of a dodgy geezer. I either get people looking down their nose at me or asking if I can get my hands on any fake Louis Vuitton bags... which I can by the way.

My presenting career started by chance. I was a contestant on 'Prickly Heat' for Sky One when I was singled out to front pieces to camera, and the host of the show, Davina McCall suggested I should have a go at presenting professionally… I was utter gash to start with but slowly learned how to be less gash.

I headed down to London one summer for a few months and ended up staying eight years. I worked in a few bars before getting a modelling agent and working for the likes of Martini, Rothman's and Nokia. I also did some daft stuff for FHM and Maxim. I never really enjoyed that sort of stuff as I always had far too much to say for myself but I was more than happy to take the money.

My first real job came totally out the blue. I was auditioning for rubbish channels doing anything at all when I got the chance to audition to be the captain of the girls team on Channel Five’s 'Night Fever' hosted every Saturday by 'Suggs'. I went for the audition experience but fought off some minor celebs to land the job!! Nearly filled my breeks!

I then managed to land some people’s ultimate job as a travel presenter and reporter on ITV's travel show 'Wish you were here – today?'. This was shown at weekday lunchtimes to support the original primetime show. I also got to hone my interviewing skills on various A-list celebs on ITV’s 'Celebrity'.

As far as acting goes, my most prominent role to date has been playing Duncan in River City, Heather Bradshaw's husband and Dad to Fraya, but I also played Paul Roberts in 'Hollyoaks - Moving On'.. boss and boyfriend of one of the lead characters.

My musical interests led me to put together a rock band in North London called "The Mojo" and that landed me the Sunday afternoon music show on Mean Fiddler’s radio station 'Mean 1035' until Scotland beckoned for the weekend Breakfast Show on Real Radio. The bosses at Real then told me about the new station they were planning which ended up being my dream job.. presenting the weekday Breakfast Show on Scotland's first classic rock station... 96.3 Rock Radio.

I’m a massive fan of adrenaline sports especially snowboarding, skiing, wakeboarding, surfing, sky diving and scuba diving. I got the chance to represent Paisley Uni in the British Skiing and Snowboarding championships and I came 12th... admittedly out of 13 but it still sounds good (apart from the last bit). I also love track racing and race my Renaultsport Spider as often as I can....I do all of these activities to a half decent level... i.e I'm not dead yet!.

Rock & Roll Quote:

A few years ago I used to do a lot of work for NME and ran the karaoke for them at the NME awards. I was taking a pee break and while at the stall discovered I was standing next to Noel Gallagher.. for some reason he wouldn't shake my hand.

Kieron Elliott In 60 Seconds

I think it was either ‘Condorman’ in Crieff Cinema with Michael (some mothers do have 'em) Crawford or ‘For Your Eyes Only’ at the Coatbridge Cinema.

When I die I want that on a bench overlooking the River Earn where I go to watch salmon jump and I am at my most serene
